Maker Professional Cohort 1: Friends and Family Day

Participants of the first cohort (Fall 2017) of our Maker Professional Registered Apprenticeship Program celebrated the conclusion of their initial three months of training in our lab by inviting their friends and family to come by our space and check out some of their work.

Congratulations to all of the apprentices as they move forward in completing the remaining months of their apprenticeship. We're looking forward to seeing great things from you all.

The Maker Professional Registered Apprenticeship Program (a U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship) is designed to up skill people for careers in digital making and manufacturing. The program is a front-loaded apprenticeship model where apprentices go through approximately three months of Fab Lab/makerspace training before starting on-the-job training. Because the use of digitized technology is expanding so quickly, this model ensures that apprentices have core skills before entering job placement, or starting/expanding their own entrepreneurial endeavors.

Apprentices are trained at Incite Focus's Fab Lab with the knowledge and skills to operate a range of digital tools to become valuable maker entrepreneurs and/or employees.

For detailed info on enrollment email info@incite-focus.org. New cohorts start every month.
